Entries will be taken for my very first giveaway up to the day I leave for China. And, folks, we're going to pick the winner the old fashioned way. Depending on how many times you're entered, your name will be written on slips of paper and put into something. My very new and very beautiful daughter Ciara is going to pick the winner and I'm going to videotape it and post the winner on a day to be announced sometime very soon after we get back from China!!!
GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!

Hi Jackie!
ReplyDeleteI found the link to your blog from the CIA Yahoo group and have been enjoying reading your story. I also noticed your daughter is in Hefei. We love Hefei!! Our daughter Noelle is from Hefei!! We adopted her in March 2008 at 18 months of age, and we also stayed in the Novotel. :-) Great hotel and staff and buffet. Only downside is some of the rooms are very small. Since Noelle was a toddler, we spent lots of time roaming the halls, riding the elevator, and exploring the hotel, rather than stay in the room (there is also a play area on the roof). One of our other families upgraded to a suite and really enjoyed it. We also enjoyed the park across the street and loved taking evening stroller walks around the hotel...or to McDonalds! lol :-)
Thanks for sharing the photos of your precious Ciara. She's a cutie, and will soon be experiencing the joy of a loving family. I hope you will get to visit the orphanage too. That was a special opportunity! BTW-- is your local guide a gal named Jane? She called herself "Fussy Nanny Jane" and was wonderful! If you do have her, please tell her the Johnsons (Noelle's mommy and daddy from America World Adoption Association (AWAA) in March 2008) say a big "hello!"
I look forward to stories and pics from China! Prayers and blessings for your exciting journey ahead!
Jennifer
